Spring 2022: The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has issued a proposal, which passed unanimously, to “take specific actions to decrease peak and net peak demand and increase peak and net peak supply to avert the potential need for rotating outages that are similar to the events that occurred in summer 2020 in the summers of 2021 and 2022.”
Translation: Big-time incentive payouts and lower $/kWh rates for California customers who don't exceed pre-established energy baselines. Enrollment in this program will be required. Contact us if your facility is 250,000 sq. ft. or larger.
